UFC 273 Aspen Ladd Vs. Irene Robles Aldana | Fight Prediction

It's going to be an epic featherweight fight on the card on 4/9/2022. Two women who rely on striking will go head to head in the octagon. We've seen big matches and some great highlight reels on both combatants, who knows how this one will play out.

Aspen Ladd may face a strong bantamweight competitor while making a comeback to the 135-pound weight class.

Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd Ranked 15 will face Mexican veteran Irene Aldana Ranked 12 in a high-profile fight at UFC 273 on FOX Sports 1 on April 9 in Brooklyn, New York. In reaction to an original ESPN Deportes story, MMA Fighting stated that the bout has been informally agreed upon, but that no contracts have yet been finalized.

She participates in the Ultimate Fighting Championship's Bantamweight category as a professional mixed martial artist. Ladd has been competing professionally in mixed martial arts since she joined Invicta FC in 2015.

Irene Robles Aldana

Aldana is currently ranked fourth in the MMA Fighting Global Rankings' bantamweight class. She has won three of her previous four UFC fights, including KO/TKO triumphs over Yana Kunitskaya and Ketlen Vieira between defeats to Holly Holm and Aldana. Aldana fights in the lightweight class and is from Guadalajara, Mexico.

Mexican MMA fighter Irene Robles Aldana participates in the Bantamweight class. She is currently ranked third in the UFC women's bantamweight rankings and tenth in the UFC women's pound for pound rankings as of December 13, 2021.

UFC 273

Ladd has lost two of her past three fights, the second of which occurred at bantamweight after her scheduled bantamweight contest with Macy Chiasson was called off due to Ladd's health issues as a consequence of her weight reduction. Ladd's prior three fights were all losses.

It was earlier believed that Ladd would face former UFC champion Miesha Tate, however that fight did not take place.

Fight Prediction

My fight prediction is heavy striking from Aldana within the first round, causing significant damage and forcing Ladd to clench. The match will drag out for 3 more rounds, then Aldana will finish by submission with right leg bar.

In UFC Vegas 40, Ladd could not match the aggression needed to counter her opponents pressure (Norma Durmont). We will see if a few months training is enough to pick up the pace needed to beat Aldana in a sparring match.
