Online KArate Videos
The future of the National Karate Kobudo Federation was changed when the Coronavirus Pandemic struck suddenly. We had planned for years the undertaking of a massive online content site to connect all affiliated NKKF dojos around the world to one centralized learning hub. The ultimate goal is to share karate lessons broadcast in every language, where students can train the techniques they normally do with fresh new sensei from around the world often.
This idea is still a dream that we are working towards. Currently the logistics of connecting and budgeting are still to far out of reach but every day, and with each new member we get closer to building something truly amazing.
There are many online karate lessons resources on the internet, and we think that is fantastic. All martial arts should be appreciated and respected and there is room for everyone to express their creativity and pursue their dream. Our Online Karate and Kobudo lesson platform has one goal: to bring authentic karate and kobudo in connection with the world.
While we make this goal a reality, our members in turn strengthen our position as a global martial arts authority and can then connect when traveling as well. Membership with the NKKF creates a strong bond with other countries, speaking the body language of Karate and Kobudo and preserving the ancient traditions of Japanese and Okinawan culture.
Practicing Karate at Home
It can be difficult to self motivate as well as to learn from video. Many of us like the hands on approach much better, virtual has a learning curve that gets easier with repetition. If you are struggling to learn via online video, perhaps try booking a private lesson, either via webcam or in person or check out calendar of events for seminar opportunities near you!
We will sometimes host tips on Kumite, or sparring in our online videos. At this time we still recommend CDC guidelines on social distancing and practicing on targets until the safety advisories are lifted for continued in person training and performance.
